The Ansel Adams Gallery, in Yosemite, began in a tent in the California wilderness and has evolved into a center that celebrates the arts and the natural grandeur of our environment. The Ansel Adams Gallery works to create an aesthetic appreciation, and accomplishes this by displaying an extraordinary collection of Adams’ original photographs.

The Ansel Adams Gallery is open year-round seven days a week, 9 am to 6 pm. There are extended hours in the summer.

Besides wonderful views of Yosemite Falls, Half Dome, and Glacier Point, this gallery is known for its marvelous displays of famous landscape photographer, Ansel Adams. You can purchase prints of Adams’ and other contemporary artists as well as books, handicrafts, gifts, and jewelry.
Since 1940 the gallery has also been the center of education for aspiring photographers by offering excellent workshops. Educational workshops can be a half-day class in getting the most out of your digital camera, to private workshops lasting 1 to 6 days. The free camera walks by the staff photographers are a favorite for summer visitors, answering any questions you may have, such as those regarding composition, exposure and many more.
